What are some good books for beginner photographers? I just picked up Tom Ang's Digital Photography Masterclass and I like what I have read through so far.

Also I just joined photography-on-the.net and was wondering what are some other good forums

Thanks

POTN is a really good site, lots of information on there. i spend more time there than i do here. Not sure on books though.

Every time this question comes up, Bryan Peterson's Understanding Exposure is recommended. I actually just received it in the mail today along with Scott Kelby's The Digital Photography Book and Michael Freeman's The Photographer's Eye: Composition and Design for Better Digital Photos. Here is a link from POTN with a thread full of suggested books: http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=53846

I second the Scott Kelby's - Digital Photography Book is awesome. I suggest you get the 2-book bundle, it has a lot of great tips and tricks, not to mention it's so fun to read.

Yep, PotN is def a wealth of information. One book that continues to be a great source is :

Light: Science and Magic: An Introduction to Photographic Lighting

Another good site is the Strobist.
