Good changes at Wet Pets

Was talking with the owners today, they are replacing all of coral lighting with LED lights. The are also setting up a frag tank that will mostly stock SPS like ORA and some of Mike Palleta's stuff. They also said they will stock some rare zoa's. He LED lighting is supposed to be up by the weekend and the frag tank sometime next week.

Will be intresting to see how this stuff is priced. The frag tank will be stand alone and not connected to their other systems.

They tried this once before and took it out with in 2 weeks. I decided to take the plunge and try DIVERS DEN on LIVE AQAURIA. Ordered 4 pieces. They should be here today. Will post picks when I get them. All pieces were atleast 3 inches and around $70 average price.

That's good news. I try to support them thru purchases as I feel they are one of the best around. Yes their pricing can be higher & it takes me a little over an hour one way travel time however they always have what I need as far as dry goods. Their quality of fish/selection & cleanliness is second to none. It will be nice to actually 'see' a coral before I purchase.
My 2 cents

Damn I wish you would have told me you were thinking about ordering from there, I probably would have split shipping and bought a few pieces myself. I tried to get a group buy going here a few weeks ago from them...

sorry Jared, it was a spur of the moment tired of trying to find larger frags and just hit the BUY button. I will probably do it again once I see this shipment and if it really looks as good as the pictures.

I think that time they had the sps hooked to their main system, this time it will be separate so hopefully there will be better results.

I have a feeling the prices are going to be out of line though....

I ordered from live aquaria before and great results. My foxface was my first fish and I still have him. I ordered some shrooms and polyps too and they were nice pieces. I will use them again.

I agree about the prices there. I can not justify paying Wet Petz prices when there are so many other options. Just my opinion.

I will get pics as soon as I can. My camera doesnt seem to take good pictures in the tank.

Pieces are definetly nice size. Little disappointed in 2 of the pieces color. Not sure if they lost some color due to shipping. Hopefully they will color up after they are in the tank.

They say they take pictures under 400wt 20k bulbs. Not sure how different color should be between my 250wt de Phoenix 14k and the 400wt 20ks they use. I also have atinics running but does not seem to help much.

Their diver's den are wild harvested, so at times it can take several weeks to months for the color to return to what is displayed in their tanks...and often it morphs to something else completely. Most people seem to feel as it adjusts to aquaculture, the colors become even better.

Here is a couple of pictures of the corals that I purchased and some pics of the tank.

They are all nice size pieces that they sent. You will notice the 3rd picture was supposed to be a purple/blue color but looks more brown.
