good crabs?

I am starting a reef tank and already have a few small peaceful fish, fire shrimp, snails, hermit crabs.... I thought a crab would be a pretty cool thing to look into for the future, but wasn't sure... are there any reef safe crabs that are unlikely to kill the inhabitants I currently have? (other than hermit crabs)

i dont really think there are many "good" crabs. most will eat whatever they can catch. even emerald crabs can be questionable.

The most reefsafe (&coincidentally out in the open) crabs are porcelain crabs. Those big claws are for show. Completely peaceful.

i agree with pea brain i have one in a 20 long about 3" across from legs to legs. it just filters food out of the water and scrapes the rocks with his feeder arms. funny too watch and very hardy, hes survived 2 moves and 2 tank moves so 4 in all. the only thing he bothers is if a hermit or snail get too close, but ive only seen him "move" them never kill or hurt them.

I have 3 small emeralds, I think when they get big though they can cause problems, at that point I'll get rid of them if I don't already have a bigger tank. I like the porcelin crabs to, there was a small red one that hitchiked in on my rock, I don't know if it's still alive though. I like the looks of that blue one.
