good or bad?

I am new to saltwater tanks and have a question. I set my 75g tank up just this past weekend (currently with 4 lbs of Fiji liverock, and some various lace and corral, and 3 damsels) and I have notices a few, I belive they are sea stars, on the walls of the tank. My question is weather they are bad or not, should I pull them or just leave them be?

Any info would help.

Leave them be, those are probably asterina starfish. Mean ones don't appear often, but if you see them literally eating corals, not just on top of them(corals go poof after they are on top of them), then they are bad.

are you running a filter system? canister? or just depending on the live rock?

Leave him be. On a side note you want at least 1 LB of liverock for every gallon of water...

I am plagued with the asterina starfish and in my tank they ate my zoa's, a green birds nest, a milli and a stag horn I had. That was about a year ago. I was told they were harmless until they ate my corals, then someone said, Oh yea they can be bad too, it just depends??? Wish I had been forwarnd in the first place.
JMHO but I'd pick them out.

Thanks for all the info, I appreciate the help. I am planning on more LR in the future, but I can only get what I can afford at the moment. Right now I am using an over the back Penguin 330 with activated carbon filters which is giving me some very good circulation for right now, and will be switching to a magnum 350 canister filter in the near future, also will be adding a protien skimmer as well. I am really glad I came across this site as I see everyone helps everyone else. I have been to a lot of other types of forums and all any body ever does is bash every one else and thoer ideas, so THANKS RC COMMUNITY...... keep the hobby strong.

anyways, on your last comment....... RC is great, but to be honest, we're not angels here either, there's a lot of people that talk a lot of crap because you don't do things the way they like/ or what they consider is the "way" to do things. but overall, everyone is helpful.
