Good Place to buy MH Bulbs??

I've asked this question before but I forgot people's answers. I'm especially interested in local shops so I could save on shipping. I'm looking for a mixture between quality and price. I can't break the bank but I don't want a cheap-o bulb that won't be effective. Any suggestions welcomed. Thanks.

It's very cheap, but I am happy with the quality thusfar as well as the look and growth of the corals in my 30g.

Reefmax.com got a MH bulb shipped to my door for under 45 bucks.Kevins an honest and ez goin guy to deal with, and doesnt leave his customers hangin. That alone deserves my recommendation. Bulbs appear to be identical to the coralvue bulb.

Give Sam a pm. His handle is bluenassarius. Not sure what bulbs he has, but looks like he's got some pretty good prices. If you pickup, you can probably check out all the great zoos and macro he has too.

I have found that a few different online places carry a number of brands and colors......really depends on what you have and what you are looking for.

I think bulb selection is pretty important in the MH dept, when talking about looks and performance.

What bulb type are you looking for.....10K,14K,20K, DE, SE?

You have a myriad of choices and even the same color temp varies from brand to brand.......what are you ultimatly looking for?

Perhaps if we can narrow that down the make and model, you can make your own decision of local or online purchasing.

Check out www.coralreefecosystems.com. They are located in Guerneville, CA. They were at the WMC and had a great variety of bulbs. I picked up a couple of HQI's from him at good prices.
