Good Quality True Unions?

Looking for a place to pick up some True Unions, not True Union Ball Valves. I will be going through Savco for a bunch of stuff but have read reviews their True Unions are not so good. Custom Aquatic have Spears Unions but they are back ordered in 1.5" at the moment. Any suggestions?

Lowe's is where i got mine, they have never leaked/failed.

local hardware store, why pay double or triple from a specialty store.

Anyone else want to join in? I've heard good and bad things about Lowes too. Most of which has been the ball valves failing over time. But, I don't think this was in reference to their unions. Thoughts?

For the most part, I use almost 100% Savko "specialty" parts (unions, ball valves, true unions, bulkheads, spaflex, etc). Any other normal PVC I use Lowes or whatever.

I broke/froze who knows how many Lowes ball valves before I switched to Savko's instead. I have some that are three years old and still turn like they're brand new. I can't say I've read of any complaints about them.

I have a couple of the Savko True Union ball valves and am not happy with them. They are nice, compact smooth working valves, but they dont work. I have one on each side of the basement return pump. If I shut off the pump and close both valves, the water will still backflow right by them, and fairly fast, not a slow trickle. IDK, maybe they are not meant for complete shut off.

Never tried the Savko Unions, but I would think they would be OK. One thing I've seen with HD/Lowes unions is they are not all the same size. If you have to replace just one side, a new one may not match up.
