good starter sps

I'm looking for some ideas on a good starter SPS coral. I'm fairly new to corals in general, I have some softy's, zoa's/palys and a duncan doing just fine, i'm looking for something semi tolerant of water conditions, but also looks nice and will be a good addition for some color in the tank. Also, not too expensive in case I don't have any luck with it. This will be down the road as well and not right away as i want my tank to get a little more stable, i'm just looking for ideas. If possible, pics to go along with suggestions would be appreciated. One last thing would be letting me know, other than light and flow, if any additional source of food is needed for their diets.

Orange Digitata. Even I can grow it. Google it for lots of pictures. Don't let your zoos overtake it though. I've had it survive several bad situations and even grow back over dead skeleton.

well, you pretty much nailed what i was looking for in the first post, from what i see in the first search on liveaquaria.com they come in green, orange, and purple so i have some variety to choose from as well. how important are the supplemental plankton feedings for them?

I have both green and orange digitata. Seems pretty tolerant and they both do grow, but not as fast as i would like them to.
Hystrix comes in pink and green and also a pretty easy fast growing sps

Digitata has been the most prolific and tolerant coral in my tank. Even more so than the softies lol. If my zoas acans and acros grew as fast as my red digi I'd be a happy camper

Looks like i'll be going for digi and birds next then, but i do love the blue acro's, i'm wondering if they are something i should even consider at this point though.

i have a good collection of encrustin montis and would warn that many of them are the first to bleach or show recession if Alk swings too much. My digis and assorted birdsnest have proven bulletproof!
