I am looking to get a tank mate for my occ clown, and i visited the store today and they had a nice clown occ clown in there. it was a juvi and was not the only one in the tank(and was the smallest) so i dont have to worry about it being female
here is my concern, my clown has been alone for over a year and i know it is most likely female now. i also know you cant put 2 females in the same tank as small as mine. the clown i have is kind of a wimp. i previously had 2 and the one i have now was bullied unmercifully so much so i had to get rid of the bully. the one i have now just hid all the time to stay away from the other
what i am mostly worried about is the new clown will probably want to become female and will probably fight with the female i have now. i dont want my current clown to go through that again.
do you think that is something i need to worry about, if so what is a good alternate fish to get that will do ok with the tank i have and not bother my clown. i kind of like some of the gobies and possibly might look at them next
