Goodbye Limpets

So when I first put live rock into my new set up I saw a limpet and since I never had one before I thought, that's pretty cool. Then after a few months as my tank progressed I saw a few more and thought, that's pretty cool.

Now six months later I see limpets attached to my SPS and thought, that's not cool. Four or five times I had to pry them off my SPS frags, they did not appear to do any damage but either way I am not taking any chances.

Out of my tank they came and that's the end of that.

I also found limpets on my SPS but they were indeed eating it. They have now been banished to the sump.

If not enough food they will snack on your sps. Have seen this first hand

I have a small species living in the plumbing of a 1000 gal system. The little buggers keep clogging the bullet injectors on the skimmer. Great cleaners, but I don't need them in the pipes!
