Never smelled anything more terrible in my life. This coral survived everything I threw at it but it never recovered after the last urchin spawn.

Goodbye pink lemonade

Oh the urchin is long gone as of last month. Been replaced by an army of hermit crabs and snails.

I have 2 frag racks full to replace it. It wasn't my favorite. It was just such a beaut of a bromie.

Wow, urchin spawn did that much damage?! I wonder what urchins have that snails don't because I've never seen my corals irritated by snail spawn?

Never seen anything else spawn that did this to my coral, repeatedly. Maybe cause my water volume is small. Only thing I can think of. Happened repeatedly until I gave up on having the urchin.

ahh man that's a major bummer. For some reason that piece never did well in my tank. Out of several dozen frags that's the only one I lost multiple times. The first frag never did anything and when I had a alk swing it was the first thing of three frags to go. The second one never did anything and eventually turned brown and died for no known reason.

I'll take these 3 pieces of fire there over that pink lemonade any day personally....

That's my all star rock there. There's a fox flame, SCOP, and more.

However the 3 freshly glued ones are from Battlecorals and include Yellow Planet at the top, a unknown wild on the bottom left and the Fleshdunce Millie on the bottom right. All serious stunners and honesty some of my nicest corals.

They're all getting blasted at about 500 par there

Awesome pieces, how long have you had these beauts? Did the urchin decline the health of any other corals besides the pink lemonade?

Some a month some for more time then that.

The urchin would spawn and all the sps would loose color. I'm talking dirt brown. That was the immediate effect. My Atl shades of fall is still brown from the last spawn before I removed it the middle of July.

How ironic, I did a 10 gallon water change last night because I was treating for some cyano with Chemiclean and one of my snails started to spooge. Low and behold my few SPS in the tank started to release mucus like your pic Sean. [emoji33]

You'd think they'd like the extra particulate food, but that has not been my experience.
