GoPro HERO3: Black Edition

Can I get some input on this. I believe this is what I want to purchase but I think I remember reading on a post something about the type of file format.

I think the issue was that this camera would not stream?


I know this is a shot in the dark as I don't remember much about the post but I thought I would give it a try.

You may have some difficulties having your operating system recognize the GP unit when attached directly through USB. This may have been sorted however through a GP firmware update. By putting your memory card directly into your computer or info on a disk, you shouldn't have a problem. The GP3 will shoot in 1440 - many media players won't support that resolution, but the GP movie making software supposedly does. If you set it to shoot in 1080 you shouldn't have any problems with all media player types.
