Gorgonians and Angels (french, grey, queen, and blue)

yoh

In Memoriam
Hey Anthony! Well I cant decide should I get that 24" acro cube or a FOWLR w/ angelfish and wrasse??

Well my question is this(nice word order, huh?) Can queen or french angelfish be kept in an aquarium with caribbean gorgonians?? Have U ever had expereance with these fish and gorgs? (Purple frilly, deadmans fingers, candelarium, purple, etc..)

What do you think?!!

Thanks Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee:D

its a very good idea IMO - that is to say, its a novel idea, unique and interesting, but yet one that others have done successfully and give us hope for your success in kind.

Gorgonians by and large are so very noxious that many allow you to keep a reef type tank with characteristically "non-reef safe" fishes like an (one!) angel :D

cool....cause I never saw any angels nipping an gorgs on the wild...and I see like 10+ varietys of gorgs when I am snorkelling down there in the keys..

yoh,
Did you ever keep an angel and gorgs together? Just curious what the results were or why you decided not to.

yoh can't answer ;)

BTW I've kept Queen Angels and currently have a French angel in with carribean gorgonians and various soft corals with no problems. Polyps, anemones and lps are another story :D

I realize this is an old post but hoping you can let me know what corals you have had success with an angel. I currently have a French Angel and several corals (sps, leather, xenia, etc) but looking to expand. The gorgonian is something I was exploring as well.

Talk about thread resurrections :D

Anything fleshy typically gets picked on. Hard non fleshy, like SPS, and most softies seem safe. Gorgonians are a good choice. In the wild they seem to spend most of the time picking at algae turfs and sponges.
