Got a new skimmer

I just bought a new coralife super skimmer and it works so much better than my old prizm. Because I don't have a sump I have to go with a hang on and most of them suck. When I went to my LFS they had a used coralife and I offered them $10. SOLD. It comes with a rio 1100 needle wheel. That pump makes all the difference! I'm pulling way more green sludge out of the tank than ever before. My only problem is how large the whole thing is. But if you know anyone just getting started on a small budget I would recommend them.

Which store is selling used stuff? All Aquatics?

I find it hard to believe that we have 3 up here already and another on the way. Maybe the new one will have something I'd actually buy---not holding my breath. All the owners are nice, but the livestock leaves a lot to be desired. I wish one of them would sell captive bred fish and frags.

Yeah it was All Aquatics. I get to rummage around their back room and check out the used stuff. If you are looking for anything in particular I can look for you or you could ask jim if you can look through his used stuff. I know exactly what you mean. Jim is trying to get me to sell him some of my more rare and colorful frags so he can sell frags. But I'm growing mine out first. Besides, whats the fun in that. Most of the corals he has now came from me. I barely bother to look at his corals anymore.

Glad you were able to find such a good deal. I don't really "need" anything. I do want to get a used canister to run carbon in soon if I don't get to making my own reactor.
