Ive learned that when it comes to giving Christmas lists you really have to be specific with some people. This year I specificaly asked for the Octopus NW150 and to my suprise i actually got it, instead of embarassing clothes or underwear. Ive got it all put together but i have to re arange my sump a little bit to accomodate the monster. Its really quite big. We are still not done making the rounds to all the families but hopefully when all said and done Ill have enough Christmas Fun Money to make a road trip to Coralville and do some shopping. Im getting tired of watching hermit crabs and only a few fish in my tank.
How did everyone else turn out.

I never get any reef stuff from Santa =(

He could even give me coal! (well activated carbon anyway) I always get crap Ill never use.

Grats on your new skimmer.

I put the weblink of exactly what I want, item number, model number, and pictures! Just to make sure. And my wife can't figure out why I'm never suprised with what i get!

Let us know how the NW150 works for you. I have a asm G2 I may just replace with an octupus skimmer.

Well, the skimmer is up an running now. Thats a whole lotta bubbles compared to my weanie CPR skimmer. Been running for about an hour now. Nothing to report yet. I rinsed the skimmer in hot water before putting it all together. I heard thats supposed to help break it in a little faster. Mean while my tank is total mess now because I had to move the compartment that held my sand bed and cheato to create as much space between my skimmer and return pump. A little cloudy in there. Im making some more water and Ill do a big water change tommorow.

Mine was ordered from Aqua Cave, but I had also seen them at Marine Solutions. Both I think are sponsors. Same price also.

my NW200 is doing awesome now. It took a month or 2 for it to really start producing, but I couldn't be happier for the price. The only thing I regret is not getting the gatevolve mod which can easily be done with local parts if I ever get around to it.
