got Hostas?

New fan of hostas here. There's a thin strip of "grass" between my driveway and the business next door that is infested with a bazillion tiny (and large) tree roots, gets blasted with sun and yet barely any water due to the tree canopy above. Only things I've been able to keep there so far are a rose bush and lavender. Planted some hostas last year that are loving it and multiplying. Blooms should be opening soon so hopefully I remember to snap a pic.

Love the hosta pics so far! :)

BINGO!

I have an area that fits that EXACT description. I keep cutting back those tree roots but I was thinking a BIG type of Hosta would grow right above those suckers and hide 'em.

I wanted to say thanks for the info on the hosta farm. Went out there yesterday with the wife. Wow! What an amazing variety of hostas. We ended up with several new ones, of course. We got the Praying Hands, Whirl-a-way, Paul's Glory, Abby, Moonlight, and Ambiqua Moonbeam.

Then went up the road the their nursery and got 4 new varieties of cone flowers.

This was almost as fun as getting new coral for the tank. :D

It's no coincidence that reefers make good gardeners and vice-versa. Just a different canvas to express yourself....

reefkeepers in general usually have a keen interest in other "earth science" related hobbies.

I recognize a lot of those Hosta names. "Paul's Glory" is a spectacular Hosta!
