After battling with not being able to keep sps any more, I've decided to try something new. After finding out my Salifert kh test kit reads wrong and I had a maxii jet pump putting out two amps in the water I still am not able to keep sps. I've tried everything to find the cause. I had Chad Farmer come over and assess the tank and all he could come up with is that I have nitrates. So after doing research on nitrate export, I've decided to try a sulfur denitrater.

3 things...

1. How bad are your nitrates?
2. watch your alk It will drop like a rock when your using that thing.
3. Thats a ton of LSM. I am using about 1/5th of that on my 155 and its dropping them steadily.

They work well. Definitely keep an eye on your alkalinity every day or two while getting it going the first few weeks. Mine is slowly bringing nitrates down on 1200g of water. BTW, I don't think you have too much media at all.
