16 clowns.
yeah the emperor ate within 15 minutes of acclimation.
i did mail order on him from ebay.
hes actually only around 5 inches

I'm hoping this one is in for the long haul for you guysl then. You losing 3 juvis makes me scared for my juvi though. Is there anything I should watch out for? He eats big time and I'm being very diligent with the water quality.

laura once aclimated they normally do fine. just feed him a bunch of different stuff. san fransisco bay puts out angelfish and butterfly fish formula it is supposed to contain sponge and other important things for them. it is frozen and most places only carry it if you ask. I think john got it for me before.

Thank you Rob, I will find the SFB angelfish and butterfly formula this week. I had also planned to get him some of the red nori that has sponge in it and some fresh clams. So far I'm feeding a mix of:

Angel Formula
Formula One
Formula Two
Prime Reef
Spirulina Formula
Brine Shrimp Plus
Special Formula VHP (Very High Protein)
Marine Cuisine Carnivorous Formula
Mysis Shrimp
Red Sea MarineGro enriched medium granules (he is nuts over this for some reason)

I don't want anything to happen to this guy, I really like him.

i think that should cover it. I have some clams on a halfshell if your down in this area you can have. of course it will train him to go after clams and he may go for tridacna's

cool, I figured the more variety the better. Thanks for the offer on the clams. I might be working down there this week but I'm not for sure, I'll pm you if I am. I thought about him possibly going after tridacnas but I want to try to stick with PC lighting on that tank so, I wouldn't be able to do croceas or derasas anyway. I would love to have a gigas though, maybe in another tank.
