got my first RBTA - pics

Ok after getting a 2nd mortgage, i was able to purchase this RBTA today and he's doing great for the first day. When he was removed from the LFS, he was attached to the LR too good to take off, so I got a free piece of LR. He was really small when they got him in last Thursday, Today when i bought him, he was huge and got small after messing with him. He's expanded some, but not fully yet. He's under a tek 6x54W T5, the store had him under a few 65PC's. After he was acclimated (drip method, our SG was the same, so only dripped for about an hour) and he got settled in, I fed him a piece of shrimp that he devoured within 30 seconds.

You have your PW and Filter intakes covered up.... if not...do that soon before it starts moving around your tank

yeah my powerheads and filter intakes have the small plastic screen cover on them.

are you refering to the stock covers or did you add some, because if Im not mistaken they can get sucked into stock gaurds

what do you guys suggest to better cover up pumps and powerhead intakes?

you could use some fish net and a rubber band, or some plastic mesh of somekind, or even some sponge, stuff lilke that

This site is great for tips on covering intakes! I would cover them ASAP!!! This site also has a lot of information on takeing care of your BTA, very helpful!

By the way, your RBTA looks great!!!
