Got my first RBTA

well i saw this beautiful specimen at my LFS today and had to pick her up. i acclimated her and then placed her in the area where my clowns sleep/hang out at. they also clean the rock at times so i decided to place the RBTA there so they can move in. I placed the RBTA in a crevis and it attached and stayed there the entire day, it was fully open and very healthy looking. the only downside is that my clowns were no where near the area, they backed off and i felt bad for taking their spot. the lights just went out and after about an hour i checked to see whats up and the clowns were back in their normal sleeping spot and the RBTA backed into a cave i have i hope it comes back out so i can take some pics of it, now i regret not taking any when it was out. im thinking maybe the clowns waving at the bottom where they sleep may have pushed her back

yes...i have several btas (rose and green) and they usually don't stay where you initially put them.

what they like is a crevace or an overhang where they can come put "like a trumpet" and get light and then retreat at night..

we have a large RBTA (maybe 12" across) and her foot is behind a rock and she comes out during the way and goes behind the right at night...yours will more than likely do this....don't worry...they will find a spot they light..just cover intakes!

well she stayed inside that cave, and has yet to fully open up . i'm thinking that maybe its just stressed from getting into a new tank (i hope). and the mouth seems to be open, i hope in a few days shes back to normal.

Looks a lot better....like I said, I bet she'll stay there and open up like a trumpet during the day to get light and then pull back in at night for protection. Since they don't have a brain, they don't know they're in a protective environment so they only do what's natural...

welp she's still open and full, looking great, however shes on the move, shes climbing up my rock work now lol, but shes awefully close to my xenias :/

I had faced the powerhead at her in hopes of it making her move again but i think she seems to love the direct flow, its side by side with my xenia but i dont seem to see either of the two bothered by each other...

She'll move to a spot where she has a crevace to bury her foot, adequate light and good flow...she may kill the xenia if she stings it..but xenia's pretty hardy so it may survive..

looks good...but if i were you, I'd get some sort of cover on the intake of that koralia...I had one get sucked up moving and had to cut the cover off to remove it.

she's approx 12" now; I'll post before and after pics tomorrow

just watch...after a few days of her staying in the same spot..shoudl be ok...emphasis on "should"
