Got my NEW octopus NW-150, now i need to mod

So i got my Octopus NW-150 today!!! The way it is designed where the water dumps out of the tall cylinder that you use to adjust seems like a bad idea. When it dumps back into the sump it looks like it is producing alot of bubbles. I was thinking about doing the gate valve mod, will this help with that as well or is it just for ease of use. Also was wondering on where to get the mesh for the mesh mod, and if there are any other mods that anyone would recommend doing.

i have a couple of questions on my new NW-150. its all hooked up stock, no mods done and i seem to be getting alot of micro bubbles coming into the tank. is there a way to reduce this? i think it is because of the way the stock setup is when it dumps the water back in. Also how long does it usually take for one of these to break in, ive had it up for a few days and still not getting much collection.
Last thing is, does anyone know where to get the mesh for the mesh mod.
