got my pics of the 20 up

got the tank like that. is a standard all-glass and has 2 1" bulkheads drilled on each side with black acrylic that was cut and heated to fit and just siliconed in. i use reverse durso's in the overflows and will flow 1,300 gph without a problem. will post pics of the rear tonight

Careful with mags plumbed on the outside. I've heard of cases here where they are more likely to leak and also water is what cools them down. Other then that, that looks nice. You planned well.

would you consider putting a couple 45 angles to get circulation to the bottom more(instead of all 90 elbows...just a thought
tank looks great!

mag 24 is nolonger in the setup due to possible bubble concerns. but it wasn't the pump. so i traded it for a little giant 4mdsc. was using 2 mag 24 on a 125 and as soon and the salt creep kicks in the seal up real nice, lol. as for using 45 if found that with this much flow it turns the sandbed up too much so the korlia's do a good job moving the lower water column. before i set up the tank with salt, sand and rock i filled with rodi water and added yellow dye to watch for andy possbile dead spots using broken concrete blocks as fake rock and the 4 90 and 2 power heads seem to do the job. had 6 outlet originally and was not getting the water movement i wanted at the other end of the tank. thanks for the nice comments and suggestions. will post some more pics soon. i want you guys to compare 20k hqi to the new bulb i bought the said it was a 20k will start a new thread tommorow

hey was just wondering if you ever took a picture of the rear of the tank would love to get another view on the pumping and such! thanks

Really really nice job on the creation of a wonderful masterpiece. Nice job, you seriously did your homework....

thanks you guys. if you read my lastest tread my i failed my final exam due to the fact i put a none uv blocked de halide and forgot to take it out after i seen the color of the bulb. corals are bleaching. lesson learned. here are the picks of the rear of the tank

You know 12 hours is SO fast- but if you really caught it in time I bet you'll be fine if they only browned out-should come back in a few weeks.

Fingers are crossed for you- i haven't made the dive into running MH over one of our tanks yet but boy im scared to do so when the time comes haha

sorry some of them are as white as i am. the first pic is on a yellow milli, and the second is of a pink milli and the third is a tricolor. monti's may come back and the wifes green hammer is alright.

i used glue on all fitting except the pipes coming out of the the bulkheads because i wanted to be able to remove if i needed to. that why if you look at the plumbing close you can see the salt creap that started building. i redid the silicone and now is good to go
