Did you get all these guys at once?

Hate to be the guy to say it.. but that is way too small for one of them starfish... let along three linkcia sp.

I'm sorry, but those are all going to starve. A linkcia needs a tank that's over a hundred gallons and is very mature, and even then they'll most likely starve. A 55g isn't enough for even one.
They can last a good few months in a small tank, but they're gradually starving the entire time. Slow death for a beautiful animal.
They don't have much of a chance anywhere else, but nevertheless, you should remove them and hope someone with a large tank buys them. Also, if your LFS told you that was okay, they were lying to sell the starfish and they should not be trusted in future.

No Ive had the others for almost a year. One of them is going on 5 years old. I havent had any issues with them either

Prove it. Back your claim up with facts.

If you have indeed managed this, you have unlocked the secret and you must provide us with every detail you can manage.

Who are you to demand he do anything? All he did was make a thread about a new starfish he got and was excited about, he didn't come on here making some claim he had some secret to keeping them

do you target feed them anything?

i can't imagine any starfish (other than a brittle star/serpent star) surviving long in a 55g.

I have good parameters. Keep up on water changes and dose/test accordingly. Theres no secret to tell. I dont target feed or anything for that matter. People have told me there going to die since before I got them and it hasnt happened nor do they look unhealthy. Maybe its just good luck-I dont really know.

Im not saying you dont know what your talking about, in fact you probably know more about the hobby than I do, but Im just telling you thats what I have goin' on

Could be you have some kind of sponge growing there that they like, or something in the bio-film is different... whatever it is, SOMETHING is different. It's not just luck.

I've had my linckia for over two years and it's never been in a system over 60 gallons.

I do notice I have a lot of pineapple sponges that grow in my tank

Do you have an asterina investation by chance?

I ask because there have been reports of linkcia actively feasting on them.
