Hi Roger...My TS24 kit showed up yesterday and I couldn't wait to get it in. I stayed up pretty late playing with it all and love it!!
I managed to figure out how to modify the 3000.25/26 kits to create the 90 degree elbow to mount the Streams on a 6 inch acrylic perimeter brace. It feels like the clamp has a decent hold, but doesn't give me a great feeling..It seems like the clamp only has about 1/4 or 1/2" of grip on the brace. Is this normal?
Secondly, because the brace is reaching back 6 inches to the tank wall, the stream doesn't sit square. So the top horizontal brace droops a little off the top of the tank and then and it reaches the back wall, the Stream itself is about 1/4 to 1/2" off the wall. But when the Streams kick on, it pops back and sits right against the rails/tank wall. Is this gap ok or do I need to put something in there to close that gap?
A couple questions on the multi-controller:
Page 17 of the manual says to "set the pulse time from 1 to 5 seconds on the rotary knob "Pulse"
But the knob labeled Pulse does not have seconds on it, just Off and Max. Am I missing something?
In the "Wave simulation" set up, it recommends setting Channel 1 at 90% and Channel 2 at 80%. And then on the B side, 40 and 50%. If I understand how this works, both Channel 1 and 2 are first on the A side, meaning both pumps are on at 90 and 80%. Then when it pulses to the B side, down to 40 and 50%. Is this correct?
If so, wouldn't you want the opposing pumps to be set completely opposite of each other? Meaning on the A side, Chan1 =90% and Chan2=40%. Then on B, Chan1=80% and Chan2=50%
I must say, I'm completely impressed with this flow. Right now, I have two 1" sea swirls on this tank hooked up to an Ampmaster 3000, plus a second closed loop circulation system on another Ampmaster 3000. When I feed my tank, I dump it in on the right side of the tank and it takes about 3 minutes for it to eventually get mixed over to the left side of the tank. With the Streams on last night, the food got pushed all the way across the tank immediately! (food was the only way I could actually watch the flow).
Thanks! And so far, well worth the wait.
Mike
