Got Stomatopod?

Hehe!

Yeah, we figured we keep the two systems seperate. We were going back and fourth all day. My back hurts now from moving around all the recliners.

Got sand! :D

Nuuze! That pic turned out sweet!... Man, I need more camera practice... : )....
Fill it! I'm right behind ya!!!
(in like a week or two~lol)

Dave I told you pages back #5 was darn nice!

I also emailed billy about the peacock that is in the sneak peek section at the very bottom, Was very sweet looking. He said it did pretty good when he got it in and about 4 days later passed away!

One big rock so the new tenant doesn't cause an avalanche and crush himself! This thing barely fit through the opening...

Man I'm bummed! I really liked that red O.s. I wanted to ask about it...
Good call on the one solid chunk-o-rock! ...add a handfull of various size rubble to the sand bed and you should be good to go! Thanks for the pics!

LOL! The Deltec has crossed my mind Jeremy to help quickly clean the water. Maybe temporarily. I'll be the only guy with a 15G tank with a Deltec MCE600!

6 gallons, 25lbs of sand and a big'ole rock.

Yeah, I was thinking of getting water from my other tank for water changes.

But I'm thinking an Aqua C or BakPak. What about a ball of cheato?

12 gallons

You know, it's amazing that a thread dedicated to buying a mantis shrimp is already 6 pages. To think that these things are the bain of many a reefer, causing untold losses, and here are people actively searching them out! Maybe my wife is right, you all ARE nuts.

I was skimmerless with a small powerfilter on my pico tank and just did a 4 cup water change from my 300g every few days. On my Chaka prawn tank it was a 30g tall soft coral tank with a sump. You could also do algae other than chaeto like shaving brush, etc.

jtarmitage~
Your wife's estimate of our collective "crazyness" is fairly close to accurate! (lol)...
And I agree on the fact that no skimmer is needed in exchange for frequent water changes...

Okay, this one is for BodiBuilt & Jtarmitage...

I need a circulation pump tomorrow.

Tank will be clean in 10 minutes! :D

Muahhh!....Muahhh!..., (said with pinkie to mouth) lol...
I here-by declair Nuuze as the first (nutty- lol) person that I know of to have EVER used a MCE600 on a 15g stomatopod tank!!!
And jtarmitage, let your wife know I agree... we ARE crazy!
: )...
P.s. Thanks for the pics...AWESOME!

When you get into the science of your new arrival, how each eye has binocular vision, how it can see in many more color spectrums than we can (like infrared, ultraviolet, plaid). How it has one of the fastest movements/strikes in the animal kingdom...I think your wife will be impresed by your little addition.

LOL! Well, it'll take a little longer for the foam head to build, but, once it does, yeah, 10 min should do it!
Boy, that is one clean lookin skimmer! I wonder who would go through so much to pass on such a clean product?:D I wish I had something to show for it, but I'm cleaning things up as we type.

Oh, not my wife Marc! She saw the vid of one bashing a crab, and another trying to get a clown before settling for a lobster(or crayfish). Let's just say that she can't watch the animal shows where the predators actually catch the prey. That is the one sticking point in me joining this little adventure.

Hehe! Me too! I'm here with gloves on, cleaning two tanks, making RO/DI, mixing salt, taking pics and posting... :)

My wife used to like dropping feeder goldfish into our Cichlid tank to watch the "Glitter"!
