it's not working at all..

motor seems to be died?..

i followed the direction in there..and nothing works..

any suggestion?

should i return it?

I would double check if the venuri is connected, every pump is test run before shipping so I think we can rule out a non functional pump. I suspect the venturi hose disconnected in shipping, possibly the nozzle broke.

Roger..

everything was connected..(this is my second tunze skimmer).

i reconnected..but nothing happen..(i could hear 'zeeeeing' sound) but not running..

do you think i can just run pump only?...

Yes, you could test run it dry, it is also possible that the bush bearing slipped down in the pump and is locking the drive unit in place.

tried that...not working....

what you mean by"bush bearing slipped down"?

if so, how should i fix it?

There is a collar that the drive unit sits in, it is what the brakes engage on and if it slips out a bit the brakes drag. The other possible cause is that maybe the magnet is cracked. The motor hums or vibrates doesn't it? I just have a hard time believing it could be dead because I have worked on the assembly line and I know every single motor is test run.

mabye that will be it.....Roger..thanks for your help..

i will just return it to Marine Dept.......

thanks for your help..

Roger,

i just talked to guy from MarineDep..
I can talk to you for return?

They might give you my number..

Let me know..

SUng.

Roger,

I think you've got the motor ..yesteday(according to the tracking)..

what went wrong?..

just wondering..

It came in late and I haven't opened the box yet. I will get to it today and it will go back out today.

The magnet was cracked in 3 places and the bush bearing was not fully inserted. I pushed in the bush bearing and replaced the magnet.

Thanks Roger..:)

did it happen while it was delivered?..

How can i prevent this happen again?

how long is the warranty?..

Warranty is 2 years. Such damage is generallly caused by shipping, the bush bearing slipping is a frequent occurence and the cause of most noise complaints on a new pump, probably this happens to 10% of pumps in shipping. The magnet cracking would have been caused by manufacturing but the stress of transport made it crack, basically it got too hot when they made it and it had fractures and being jossled/heated in shipping broke it.

Yes, it was shipped on the 14th. I will look up the tracking number when I get a chance. I would expect it will show up today or tomorrow. Remember weekend days don't count.
