Gotta order sand, need some advice

from what i been hearing the live sand in a bag is no good its a bag of wet sand i used it before when i thought it was good but i've been told not to use it, as far as ur fuge u should use miracle mud ur not gonna need as much mud as u will need sand which comes in handy when u have to take half of it out

I see nothing wrong with CaribSea Arag-Alive. I've had it in my tank for the last five years.

There was a thread the other day that said to ave your money when it comes to miracle mud. The people that used it loved it but other people who used other substrates had the same effects with there fuges.

It's realy up to you.

you can find super fine grade sand on ebay for like 24 dollars for 40 pounds I think. I bought mine off of them and it was the best decision I ever did. my horshoe crabs and gobies are loving it.

I use live sand and like it a lot. But I have a small tank. I think if I had a large tank I would use mostly dry sand and put a bag of live sand in with it.

Just order some of the dry Caribsea Aragonite in the finer that you like and then seed it with some live sand from a LFS or local club member. The sand from a local member will get you the same bacteria boost and critter base as well as save you some $$$ in the long run. The other option would be just add a small bag of Arag- Alive to the rest of dry.....

The Arag-Alive will work fine its just a cost that really inst needed in the long run as some sand from another source or even live rock will eventually seed it.......
