so tomorrow, thursday, im finally graduating!!! yeh no more high school... so now i can continue with my reef progress! but need to get the $$$ for working full time! hopefully

was going to San Diego State. But Im unsure of what I want to do. Ill be doing 2 years at COC since it will be cheaper then hopefully go to UCLA or UCSD.

The torn ACL set be back pretty bad, I was going to play some college ball and see where it goes from there, but Im barely dunking right now. My health isnt there. Ill play my 2nd year at COC.

i went to ucsd.....forget the uc system. i believe that a smaller private school is the way to go. depending on what you're majoring. it's more expensive but the education at UC's are terrible. i dont care what anyone says, i just finished at a uc and the profs at city colleges are way better. sorry, i'm just a little bitter.

I don't know about that. Going to college was the best thing in my life. It helped that I was 2000 miles away from home and surrounded by beautiful girls........errr..........ummmmmm........I meant the UCLA campus. It also helped that I met my future wife there But it does go down hill from there when you have to work full time. Doesn't leave much time for reefkeeping :mad2:

give me a break. i am a product of a UC school (UCLA) and my education was top tier. the bottomline is that you get back what you put into it.

btw, i took a few summer courses at a jc after my frosh year (to clear away a few ge's) and the prof's were horrible. i went to class, slept in class and still got A's on my tests. wasn't the least bit challenging.

haha, its still like that now. I graduate a couple years ago. The UC's have gone up in popularity and ranking, however, tuition went up quite a bit as well.

what did you get your degree in? what are you doing?

i went to cal state LA and i liked it... but i wanted to teach and they have a good ECE program....

someone comparing a UC experience to a JC experience and picking the JC gotta be crazy!!!!

IMO, JC's are a waste of time and a black hole where people are further filtered for a real degree - look at all the JC drop outs. Profs there treat their students like they are in high school. I went to a JC while in high school and it's the same experience. If you can, skip the JC and go to a real 4 year college.

UCSD does have poor recruiting so I understnd your bitterness. Even worst if you're in Revelle and doing a bio program there - pain in the neck from what I've heard! hehe
