Gramma Loreto blind?

I've had two gramma loretos in my 125 reef for nearly two years. The dominant and assumed male of the two recently has taken to hiding continuously in a small burrow under a rock for the last month or two. I have not seen the fish feed the entire time. I'm thinking he is now blind because he sticks his head out only when I feed the tank and sometimes opens his mouth in an effort to eat, but he doesn't capture food. The fish hasn't been in the water column and is now almost goby-like staying along the substrate. The fish doesn't react when my tangs dart by and acts defenseless when serpents stars happen to crawl by him. Is it possible this fish is now blind? Is it possible for a fish to go blind in a matter of days?

Any updates? I am having a similar behaviour. My brasillian gramma didnt come out to eat last week and today he is opening he mouth to catch food but not really seeing them.
