Grand Opening

I was there today, store is a little small, but decent number of tanks and large amount of employees. They have a decent selection of fish and decent selection of dry goods. It is worth the trip.

Make sure you tell them you a LIRA member.

Huge amount of very nice looking frags. I didn't catch the prices though.

The refreshments were excellent too! If you're in the neighborhood tomorrow (Sunday), stop by there for lunch LOL

I was very happy to see some LIRA folks, I had to do my share in wishing the new store the best. the frags was very nice, & you can see that the people put alot of effort into making it what it was. nice service & overall knowledge from the staff & the price was right! they did have lots of live stock that are now hard to come by.

i saw 3 sea stars dissolving.. im not saying it was their fault or what ever.. just my observation.. i kinda always wanted to try my luck with one so i did end up buying a red fromia. they were fairly priced and i figured they probly do better in my tank than theirs.. a little rescue. ( i hope).
dry goods a bit over the price compared to other local stores i thought..

definitly good selection though!! but need to put prices next to them. I hate asking how much for each peice.

ps, someone shoot me if i buy anymore livestock for my tank!

i was there today and I liked the store alot. me and my friend picked up a koralia each and are in the raffle! wish me luck I like the way the tanks are setup and they had some nice blue linka stars. Ive been meaning to get one but I have to wait for my tank

looks to be the making of a nice store though. They had a NICE yellow polyp colony in the store side in the corner tank! it was really nice

did they have stuff like acans/ micros or just the normal types of zoas, frogspawns, stuff you see everyday?

They had a bunch (mostly) of SPS.

I regret that I did not get there until Sunday, and I believe I missed lots of good pieces.

Owner Darien gave me a small tour including the showroom next door. He and most of his staff are very experienced and friendly. it's not an easy business, they almost have done everything they could do for the grand opening of an independent retail store, and I hope they can succeed and prosper.

Instant Ocean 160G salt was on sale for $39.99, and they gave me 10% off when I asked if the store could offer LIRA memembers any special discount. I took 7 buckets which was the maximum my trunk could load.

I also bought couple large pieces of SPS and a long nose hawk. My old one just jumped out from the tank again, and I was lucky to find a replacement before my wife finds the old one is missing.

There was another store (Selma?) couple blocks away on my way home, I was surpriised to find couple more reasonably priced good pieces, including one 2" tall SPS with the most florescence I've ever seen.

A good day for me, leave the problems to be solved until my wife see the credit card bill.

We've all been there before.

Selmer's. They had a big fire there about maybe 15 years ago. Many animals lost.

Yeah, but then it's too late for her to complain.

I had a showing by the store last night and on the way back I figured I would check it out. They just locked the door when i arrived.
The guys there didnt hesitate to let me in and show me around. I ended up grabbing a nice hairy mushroom and 2 zebra snails.
Today I went back (because I have a spending problem lol)
I grabbed 3 very nice pieces and a goby who is acclimating right now.
They gave me a great deal on everything and definitely know there sh**
