Just wanted to put out a big thank you to Tunze for replacing my 6045 after the shaft broke. I sent it away for repairs and not only was the shaft broken but also the C Clamp and Tunze no questions asked replaced the entire unit even after i had modded it as well. Was thinking of trying a Vortec but this has just reassured me that i am sticking with the Tunze brand.

My shaft just broke on my 6045. Who do I need to contact for a replacement? The shaft broke at the bottom and the bottom is still in the pump where I cannot get it out... also notice that both my 6045's the shrouds do not clamp on all the way... seems they may be warped or something? is this common?

The shaft can only break on pumps made before June 2007, it is also possible for the pumps f this age to have loose fitting shrouds. Around this time we changed the material and size of the shaft as well as the assembly method and we changed the depth of the lock in tabs for the front shroud, send them in and I will get them fixed up-
