I had a great time at the frag swap, event though I did not have anything to swap this time. It was nice seeing a lot of new faces and meeting new people.

Mal, thanks for laking the lead on the organization. The fish I got from you are doing great.

Thanks to everyone who worked hard to make the event successful.

Lets make the next one even bigger and better.

I thought it went pretty well. We had a nice turnout and it is something we can build upon.

I want to add that I thought the hall was very nice and a good size. It looked like there was a lot of trading and sales going on. I enjoyed the demos, thank you Ricky and Scott. I like the outline for the club's plans over the next year too, hope we can accomplish it. And thanks to Mal and Brad and their families and Carl C for running the door, supplying the food, and running the door prizes and the raffles. And thanks to the vendors and frag sellers for bringing your stuff and the donations for the raffle. Good job!
 
I want to add another "job well done" to all involved.

I wasn't as prepared for this swap as I normally am, but with all my raffle winnings,(thanks Brad for letting someone else win for a change) I'll be ready for the spring swap.

Yesterday was definetly a good time! Thanks to all who made it happen! By the way, I was recalling some things I heard at the meeting and there seems to be a glich in my memory. I remember hearing that the next swap was looking like it would be in the Wilks Barre area, but I also remeber hearing that it would be in State College in the spring... Could someone please set me straight...

Great Turn Out! I think this was one of the most organized swaps we have put together. Organized Swap Schedule, and club schedule is sure to make progress an easier thing.

Thanks to everyone for the help with loading and unloading my vehicle, as well as preparing and cleaning up after the swap!!!

Bigger next time? Why not, we can do it!!!!!! We are looking good in my book!

It was great seeing the new faces and as well as those boring old reefers that I am used to, JK, its always a blast catching up on old times and comparing notes on what works and what doesn't! I hope you all enjoyed the reefplug demo and if you have any questions I would be happy to answer them.

I also want to thank all of you who traded with me as well as everyone who purchased frags from me. Please let me know how they are doing, I want to help make sure they all make it!!!

insanefishguy, the schedule handed out during the NCPARS business meeting shows Wilkes Barre/Scranton for the spring 2007 swap. Brad said that if the location for the swap didn't get worked out, it would move to the next area listed on the swap site rotation, which is Harrisburg/Lancaster. State College is next on the rotation list.
I think it's a great idea to move the swaps around, and thanks for having it in Reading, only 30 minutes driving for me. :)

The event was well run I wasnt expecting so much stuff to be up for trade.

Just a suggestion for next swap. If you are having it at state college why not try and get the pittsburg, PARC and sv-sea guys all in on it and make it a megga-swap.

More frags for all...

we advertize all our swaps in local club forums but there's more smaller clubs popping up as the hobby grows

We originally tried something like this and a few members mentioned something to the effect that we were taking over or something to that effect, so it is a touchy subject for some but it is an option.

We do have members from other clubs frequent our swaps because we only have them 2 or 3 times a year and most clubs know we go pretty big when we have them so we do get some flow from the other clubs. We have also talked about seeing about doing a mega swap with other clubs, in fact that was a discussion that some of us on the BOD had after the swap. We are trying new ideas and working to make it better for all and your suggestions are a great addition to the club. I hope more suggestions get brought up to help us make decisions and change some of the things that we currently do.

Some of our previous swaps had twice or three times as much stuff up for trade, but this swap was a great forum for trading and will continue to grow with support from hobbyists like you and other new members!

Thanks again for your support and addition to our club, you will make a great asset with your suggestions and your willingness to speak up and share ideas!

Just wanted to say thanks for having the swap. It was definitely a nice experience. It was my first frag swap and I'm really glad I came. Learned a lot from talking to different people.

I know I learned that it takes a lot longer than I expected to get together all the frags that people bought from me on fragswapper (thanks again, btw) ! I'll plan ahead a little better next time, so I can enjoy the entire swap instead of getting there half way through!

Its ok, Maybe next time. I am still going though and I will be bringing what frags I have to the swap.

Most of what I didn't trade or sell through fragswapper will be brought.

I'm hoping to go up to the reefnest swap, right now it looks clear, but there's a chance something is going to pop up. Yellowtruck, I can probably get another frag of most of my sps, so poke around on fragswapper (I'm DSB there) and drop me a note.
