Green Algae - best snails?

My 12 gallon nano is three weeks old and I am getting bright green algae on the glass and LR closest to the lights. I have 6 cerith snails that always look like they are eating this stuff but never seem to make a dent. Is there another type of snail that I could buy that would eat it more effectively? Is there a good way for me to scrub it off the LR or will that harm it?

Nitrates, Nitrites and Ammonia have all been 0 for two weeks and I have not lost one snail since I put them in 1.5 weeks ago so I think my tank is done cycling.

Get a phos reactor and do lights out for three days. On the fourth day actinics only, then back to regular schedule on the fifth. Worked a miracle for me.
