Green Algae Problem

My tank is a 37 gallon reef. I have a large canister filter that does the water 10 times an hour. I have 18 watt Orbit Marine LED lights. My tank is almost 3 months old. I have 14 various types of snalls, 15 blue legged hermits, 6-line wrasse, percula clown, royal gamma, Falco Hawkfish, banded coral shrimp, emerald crab, serpent star.

My question is, I am having an issue with green algae. It seems I can't get rid of it.

Looking at the image, is it because of the newness of the tank or do you think I have other issues.

I will try and give more info on my filter next time,,Thanks for any comments

That does not look that bad.
It would also help to know what your water parameters are:
Nitrate, phosphate, specific gravity, pH, lighting schedule...........

The more ifo you give the more likely you will get a better answer.

My perimeters are 0's across the board. I kinda thought I would have so nitrates by now but it is still 0. I don't have a phosphate test yet though. Is it possible that the phosphates are high.

Please forgive me I am just starting. I need a phosphate test but my PH is 8.5 my lighting schedule is 10 hours of daylight and 4 hours of night light.

If it doesn't come off the rocks with ease then it's probably just a prelude to the purple Coralline algae we all love so bad.
