Green Algae

Hi All, I am currently having a huge problem with green algae. It's blooming like crazy and I can't seem to combat it. My hermits are going to town, but to no avail. I am going to grab a few more hermits, but I do not like to have too many since this is the first algae bloom I've had in 3 years. Any help would be greatly appreciated. All parameters are perfect!!

75 Gal reef.

Going crazy trying to keep it pretty. AAAAghh

After a reef has been up and running and largely micro-algae-free, if there's a sudden algae outbreak...I'd immediately suspect phosphates. I assume that you've increased water changes and all the regularly prescribed measures for an algae outbreak. If you haven't, then do those. But, also...tell us a bit more about your reef...how much live rock...what kind of skimmer....do you have a refugium....do you test for phosphates, bio-load, etc.?

If you have a algae outbreak your water peram. cant be perfect nutrents may be geting bound in the algae and thats why they may appear to be on point did anything die recently.
