after i did another water change with ro/di water from walmart i seem to have lost all algea that was in the tank. i dont see anyother problems now with the tank , im starting to grow good corline algea on the back wall of the tank and on the rock. and all tank inhabites look great. should i be concernd with maybe a secoudery attack of algea or should i be over with.

That's good news, it sounds like you are making progress. Just continue to monitor things, check your levels every other day or so, and you should be good to go in a few weeks.

ya the coraline showed up right after the green slime algea died off its looking great my coral are opened up all the way my zoa are colorfull (the 8 polyps i have) but im feeling good about things. told you guys i would do it right and your guys advises are helpen and makeing the tank suceed thanks alot.

Sometimes you'll get a second outbreak that is a lot less severe, then you'll have it under control. Any new tank will go through a few bouts with algea before it's cycled all the way.

mine has been set up or a little under a year and i still get algea attacks. sometimes it is hair other times bubble. the most recent is like a slime algae. no clue what it is nor have i really looked it up. i just added 2 koralia 3's and one of those other pumps i mentioned in a previous thread. hopefully that will help with the slime

thats what i had was slime algea best thing to do is to cut your light cycle down. i cut my down to i think 6 hours for a week.
