Green Bird Wrasse ?s

Looking for some input on a few questions regarding the Green Bird Wrasse (GBW)

1. Anyone ever heard of a GBW reverting back to the female status and coloration (brown/gray/black color)? In particular, if the male is not with a mated pair and is the sole bird wrasse in the tank will it keep its green dominant color.

2. How would a GBW do with a Menularus, Christmas, majestic angel, yellow and kole tang, etc. The Menularus is a terminal phase male about 4.5 inches long.

3. What's for dinner- I do have one cleaner shrimp, black shortspine urchin, two serpent sea stars, a few blue leg hermits, and some turbo, trochus, and astraea snails. Guessing these inverts could be on the lunch buffet, but not always? Has anyone had success with the GBW living with these inverts?

The 120 tank is filled wth rock work, soft corals and Zoanthus.

Thanks all!

Males will keep their male color ime if not with a female.
Inverts will be hit or miss. I've kept a female for over 6 years with a brittle star but the star has recently disappeared I assume eaten. The same female has been kept for several years with various snails, conchs, and urchins. The emerald crab population slowly declines but this could be natural attrition rather than predation. Cleaner shrimp only lasted about a year so most likely got eaten.

The main downside to keeping them with other fish is that they eat like total maniacs and so you need some pretty tough tankmates who won't be intimidated as they zoom at top speed from morsel to morsel. I have kept them successfully with other wrasses, fantail files, and hawkfish.
You will need a large tank.

I've had one in my tank now for 2 months, he's the sole bird wrasse in there and he's kept his greening color thus far,
I have to agree with the eating comment from Myles though, they eat like absolute lunatics.
He's in my tank with triggers and a large emperor angel, and he darts through the tank without any caution during feeding time.
Very easy to get feeding though mine was
