so i was hopeing as i wastold...that my new brain will help in consuming these lil critters.....any truth to it or did i get suckered into spending money again lol

Lol that's funny. Lots of fish eat pods. I doubt a brain coral can catch many if any. look into a haliochores genus wrasse

Uhh...I wouldn't say that they will help reduce the population. They may luckily catch one or two that happen to wander too close to the tentacles...but that's about it.

Most pods in reef tanks are beneficial scavengers. Their population will increase and decrease as the food supply changes. If, for some reason, you want them gone, then the easiest thing may be to limit the food you add in. Of course, various fish (like wrasses) will go after them as well.

guess i'll watch the population a lil closer....have never noticed a drop in population...just continual growth lol....just afraid there gonna get outta control

LMAO...i seem to be hearing that alot....not sure what i did right/wrong....all i did was buy a couple jugs of these guys and put them in my refugium....now...you turn the lights on at night...and there are hundreds....and i mean hundreds of these critters scurrien around......am desperatly lookin for some kind of population control....the green mandrin i got lived for only a week.....i chock it up to bad packaging....everything i have gotten that was packaged decently has survived so i don't think it's my tank.....famous last words right lol

example of my problem....fed my brain coral a lil piece of shrimp....with in 10 minutes a swarm of pods yanked it out and were havein a x-mas feast
