Green Brain question..

My green brain periodically has this stringy looking mucas coming out of it's mouth... Is this normal??? My hippo tang was going after it trying to eat it, this is getting me worried...

its probably just excreting waste. thats normal. if its a slime coat which would be from the entire coral thats a sign of stress. any pics?

I don't have any pics yet... It's just coming from the mouth.. It looks kinda like stringy hair

sounds like it may be the slime coat coming off sometimes its a good sign. meaning what ever stressed it has stopped. but im not an expert by no means on that.
