I hope I am on the right forum for this....................
I purchased this tank already set up and I am going to relocate my 7 inch coris which I believe is just too big for the tank. I also have a green brittle star which is huge.
what I am hoping to accomplish with this is to be able to bring in some inverts, clams, zoos to color up the tank...my ? is what can I bring in with the green monster? or will he have to go too?

is there anything I can have?? he doesn't bother the anemones, urchins, mushs,polys....or any of the fish. He even likes the cucumber! They seem to hang together!

He doesn't have to go, but just realize that they sometimes will eat fish, and if they are hungry they are very capable of overpowering your coris or any other fish they find sleeping at night.

He only wants to eat the little sleeping fishies. I took mine back after he got big and I had 2 or 3 small fish disappear, but I never caught him eating any of them. Get a serpent star of any color - they won't pick on anything. If you can find a black and gold "elegant" star, you'll find it doesn't hide at all, living in the upper third of the rocks. The red/orange serpents are beautiful, and come out at feeding time. The green "harlequin" serpent looks cool, but never comes out.

I never had a real problem with my green brittle stars ( I have 2 large) and never lost a fish to them. But there are stories like this out there. I don't feed them a lot either.
