I have a Green bta for about a month now. The color has returned to the anemone since I got it from the lfs. The only thing is the anemone doesnt really bubble. The tenticles look more slim and narrow than the classic "bta look". I tried feeding once a piece pf shirmp which ot ate, only to find it in front of the anemone a few hours later. I have mh lighting so I know lighting is not the issue. My question is will the anemone be ok if it doesn't bubble? Also at night it condenses and shrinks in it's rock, is this normal? I have not checked the water parameters but salinity is at about 1.024. The rest of the tank is doing fine.

It is normal for the BTA to not show bubbles. Some times they will bubble up after they have been fed or just because. I would raise the SG to 1.025 my anemones seem to be happier with the higher SG. As long as its eating and still has its bright green color IMO there is nothing to worry about. The piece of food it spit out later was probably too big, try a smaller piece next time. Hope this helps:)

a ha ha... here's my chance to just get it off my chest -
Turkey Basters are overrated!

okay... there... i'm done....

yes, from what i've heard it should be fine. Mine always seems to bubble, but it gets especially large with feedings. Try feeding different texture foods, and different types, from shrimp to fish, to silversides (they are a fish) to cuttlefish etc.

i use a syringe minues the needle btw... it works great for snow + mysis.

my bta was ALL bubbled up at the lfs when i took it home 1 week later it had strait tentacles for about 4 months strait now its all bubbles
