Green Bubble Hiding Under Rock

I just introduced a green bubble into may tank. it moved its way under a rock overhang and doesn't look to be coming out anytime soon. Is this common? Don't they prefer to be in the light? If it stays under there, my clown won't be able to host.

Give it some time. It is acclimating to your tank. Normally they will hide a few days to a week and will come out slowly. Just don't try to move it , let it do what the nem want.

Don't worry about anything right now. Give it a week or two. If by then it hasn't moved you can point a powerhead at it and it should move away to another spot. However, bubble anemones may take several days or weeks to find a spot they like.

My GBTA did that same thing about 3 months ago when I first got it, well about 12 days ago it finally came out very bleached and half its original size"¦

my first nem did the same thing. they are picky with lighting and I was fairly new to the hobby. my second nem (still have the first one) is doing better...I introduced and let it do its thing. it hid for a little bit and then came out and is happy.

Mine found the worst spot (for display aleast) and hasnt moved in 9 months. I had to turn a rock to be able to see whats exposed of it.

Thanks all. my dude has came out from under the rock and is doing fine. my clown, however, has not yet noticed it.

Yeah, it's 50:50 that a clown will view a bubble tip as an acceptable host. I've got an Ocellaris pair that just ignore mine.

I recently introduced a RBTA into my BC29 with LEDs. It planted to my live rock immediately and started hiding in the cracks. Every time it comes out, I feed it chopped up shrimp. It eats a little then hides for the rest of the day. It's been in the tank for 5 days now and I'm wondering how long did yours hide before finally coming out? Any suggestions? Thanks!

My gbta is still under a shaded rock. It's been 3 weeks. It is still very green and healthy. Just hiding.

It wouldnt eat anything i feed. But i also broad feed the whole tank every week. I guess i'll see how it does. Healthy as ever tho

sorry for the delay, it was a matter of days before it came out. however, it moved around from time to time but seems to have settled in on a particular rock
