Green Bubbles?

Hello,

I woke up today and looked at my tank like usual, and i noticed these funny green bubbles grown near my anemone. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what they are? I got a picture.

Sorry if it doesnt belong in this part of the forum, i put it in here because its next to my anemone.

Not a problem for an anemone--it is Valonia sp., commonly referred to a green bubble algae or just bubble algae. It may benefit you to go ahead and remove that small piece of rock with them on it now.

I hd some in my tank also. A emerald crab ate it within an hour of being placed in my tank. Don't try to pick them off yourself though. Inside are spores and they will spread should the bubble burst.

remove the rock they are on from the tank. Use a toothpick or other "soft" pick to gently remove them "whole" trying not to break them. I will usually break at least one. I used to rinse the entire rock area of a broken one with saltwater before returning it to the tank. This last time I boiled water in the microwave and used a syringe to "burn" the area the bubble popped in. I am convinced that careful removal will get them out of your tank permantly. I have a nano that got them in it for awhile and after several "pruning" missions I have not had it come back.
