Green Button Polyps turning brown....

As the title says I several 30+ green button poylps all under direct 250w14,000 k MH lamp (although old, close to 7 months) For the past 6 weeks or so they all started loosing the green look and the outer rim tentacles are real short now. The polyps still open and some will feed when food is placed in their "disc", while others will not close at all, food just rolls out or escapes. Not sure what the issue is....Nothing has changed. I have completed several water changes and still nothing seems to bring the color back in these guys. Please advise.

Tank parameters:
180 gallon display with 150 gallon basement sump
Phosphate - .03
Nitrite - 0
Nitrate - 0
pH - 8.1
calc - 422
salt - 1.026

I have some that go from brown to green, and vice versa depending on the amount food intake. Do you feed them?

I have had them for over 18 months. They have been thriving.....I do feed them from directly with brime shrimp and they pickup pellet food or flake food as it is being added to the tank.

I'm not sure what your problem is, but if you might want to be careful with these if you plan on SPS. I've been trying to kill mine for over a year. If you'll have SPS keep them isolate to an island so they don't spread and sting more desirable corals.

Well I do have several SPS. Is it possible its some kind of chemical warfare? The polys are near a pocillopora that is also growing and also a Monti.

Very.strange...I'm noticing the same issue.....these babys have been neon since I got them 7 months ago......now they are slowly turning brownish red.....thought maybe algea.build up.or.something but I rubbed one and nothing came off .......hope we can figure.out the issue..:/

Ahhh ha......after.much googling....the general consensus is too much light will brown them out.....I know this Is an old post but If anyone else finds it in the future this might help....:)
