Green carpet anemone questions

I have had mine for about 6 months and it has doubled in size (from 5" to almost 10") but I have been noticing weird behavior the last few days. First, it scrunched up to the point where you could barely see it - this lasted about a day. Then it restored to full size but the disk was now almost cup-shaped (think tulip), then the disk flattened out like a plate. It is now back to normal - any ideas what is going on? Thx.

I dont know much about the topic, but it could be getting ready to split (if carpets do that on their own.) Is the mouth elongated at all??

BTAs are the only species of host anemone that splits on its own, afaik.

My blue Haddoni does that sometimes. Its just normal behavior as far as I know. Sometimes when I try to feed it as soon as the food touches the tentacles it retracts. It seems to take about 8-10 hours for it to return to an open state..

One thing I have noticed is that since I removed the paier of claks clown from the haddonis tank is that the anemone is really really thriving and has grown markedly. But a nem w/out clown just isnt the same. (I have maroons now they wont go near it).
