Green chromis school?

I'm planning on adding green chromis into the tank. Hopefully a small school of it. I know I would have to face probabilities of deaths when trying to keep them in groups. Therefore I'm hoping the ones I'm getting would fare nicely with each other. What should I look for when buying them? Age, size, number, etc.? Also do adult or juvies acclimate easier?

60 gallon. 2 clown fish and 1 firefish at the moment.

A group of chromis in this sized tank will not be stable long term and will winnow down to one or at most two. Best chance to reduce the propensity of the dominant one to kill the rest would be multiple feedings per day. Also, since chromis are highly susceptible to uronema marinum, you had better have a thoroughly developed quarantine protocol.

Neither. You're going to have them kill each other off. You will end up with one chromis, maybe two. This is something that has been confirmed by multiple people and multiple experiences. Please do not try this.

YES I understand:headwally:. I already stated that I am aware of these possibilities. Yea thanks for the reminder tho.
So should I be getting A juvenile or adult for better acclimation to the tank.

Adults are difficult to find unless you get lucky with an LFS. I had 6 from LA and was down to 3 for a couple months in my 140 gallon. Now I am down to 2. As everyone else has stated, this really is not a good idea.

Even in my 140, they eventually winnowed down to 2 and I assume, it will be just one. Mine are small enough(1" to 1.5") that I figured they would be fine in a 140, but no go.
