Green Chromis with redness on one side

I picked up 8 green chromis for my tank and noticed two had some redness on their side. All are eating but wasnt sure if I could add something to their food to help them recover. Not sure if it's something that happened during shipping or what.

Any help or suggestions would be great.

Thanks

In my experience green chromis are notorious for getting that. More than likely those fish are not going to make it. You can look up some info about it on Wet Web Media. I have read that it is called "Chromis break down syndrome". I have lost chromis due to it. Normally within 24-48 hours of the redness appearing, it just gets progressively worse until the fish dies.

If the redness tends to run at an angle along the fish's scales, forming a line, it is a protozoan known as Uronema. Very difficult to treat because it can live between the fish's body cells. Mortality rates of over 80% are not unheard of with green chromis that develop this. I wrote an article on this for a recent issue of Aquarium Fish magazine, but it isn't avilable online - maybe a local library might have it?

Thanks for the info guys.

Looks like I lost 3(All had redness) and the remaining 5 dont seem to show the redness like the others so hopefully they will be ok.
