I like the colors of mine but the problem i have with mine is the only time i see him is when i get on my hands and knees and LOOK LOOK LOOK LLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOKKKKKKK for him but i have only had him for 3 1/2 days so hopefully he comes out down the road

I agree, they are great fish but you hardly see them. they are very good at finding places to hide. but a 30 gal. tank may be much easier to find him :D

This trait makes them somewhat hard to keep because you need to find them to feed them, and this is a main reason these fish are hard to keep/don't always survive. A long nose hawk can be quite food aggressive so you have to be careful that the hawk doesn't steal all the food.

These gobies do best if you have some Acros in the tank. In nature, they feed on the mucous (and sometimes polyps) that the Acros excrete so if you have some disposable polyps to use in the tank, that would be best.

I know this is the general concensus about them but I think I have one of the best clown gobies. He's always out, he eats.
He is either stuck on the glass vertically or perching in any one of the corals. Zoos, candy canes, sometimes I even catch him in my clam.
I think I got lucky as all my friends or surprised as well but maybe you could get lucky too. I think they are cool fish and so small they don't really bother the bio-load. I have mine in a 29 and I just grabbed him 1 day just because. He is one of my favorite fish now.
