My tank has been up and running for close to a year, and every things pretty good. But normally in my other tanks I get pink coraline algea growing on the back glass, pumps, etc. But this time I am getting a green version popping up everywhere. Anyone seen this before??

okay, thanks. Its growing just like normal coraline, just green. Thought it was odd. Kinda stinks, love the colorful stuff.

coralline colors are dependant on the light source. some colors like bright light as others like the dimmer light.

actually coralline color depends on the species of coralline it is.

FWIW I've never used 'Purple Up'.
I simply maintain proper Ca, alkalinity and Mg levels.
