Green Corals Turning Yellow-Green

Hi,

My green corals are all turning yellow-green. Every single one: slimers, caps, humis, and even my fuzzy mushrooms. The strange thing is that my pinks, blues, purples, oranges, etc all maintain their colors. I'm only having issues with the greens.

CA = 400, Alk = 9.0, nitrates, nitrites and amonia are not detectable. I run 250 10K MH without actinics.

Am I the only one with problem? How can I fix it?

Sounds like a spectrum thing.

I have had the opisite . Limey greens gone yellow :) BUt my greens are still green .

I have the same problem too, I don't run actinics either and I think that may have something to do with it. I can literaly change the corals from green to yellow and back again by switching the 10k's with 20k's. IMO, I will have an overall better coloration with 10k's and my 13k's along with VHO actinics on my new system.

I run actinics and have the same problem. Most greens turn yellow. I'm running 14K MH also.

i was reading the zeo manual, just for fun and they said if corals are turning from green to yellow, it's a lack of iodine? my friend had this problem before and i think he said he started feeding his fish more and problem solved. dunno if this helps yah.

I have had 14k and bought a 10k no actinics. I have not seen a change at all, but I do dose iodine. My alge has changed. more green on the rocks.

I wish I could figure out what causes this also. I have what started out as a rich green prostrata that turned a yellow green under 14 K Hamiltons. My darker green slimer has held its green color. In December I just switched to 10 K's ( Reeflux). It has only been a month so far but no change in the Prostrata color so far. :rolleye1:

What's your secret? I have had some beautifully yellow colored acros turn green and wish I could get them back to their glorious yellow again...
