green emerald crab

I don't think they'll attack a healthy clam, but I have seen them eat coral (Acropora sp.). Who knows what they'd decide is a good meal if hungry enough? I wouldn't risk one in my tank.

I never heard of an emerald mithrax crab eating a fish but I have seen them scrape tissue off my sps and that was enough to get mine banished to the soft polyp tank. Nip my buttons...PLEASE!

Mine never bothered my clams other than my baby t.max. The crab used to break off the scutes to get at the detritus that collected inside.

i have 4 in my tank, and haven't seen any even close to the clams. the other night i saw one climbing on the montipora, but it was breaking off pieces of the exposed skeleton on the base, but left the polyps alone. also saw it climbing on the stylophora, but same thing, just the old skeleton.
